Catherine Jordan Jones
Catherine has over 14 years’ communications experience developing engaging, issue-based campaigns for corporate, public sector and government clients including the Home Office, City & Guilds, Children’s Workforce Development Council, Edge (educational foundation), Learning and Skills Council, totaljobs.com, BT Broadcast Services and World Heart Federation. She has led both B2B and consumer campaigns in the UK and co-ordinated Europe-wide media campaigns for a range of North American and European clients.
Catherine created a behaviour change campaign for the Home Office, encouraging traditionally hard to reach people to volunteer in their local community. She also devised and lead a campaign for disabled jobseekers’ site jobability.com, creating a media debate surrounding the issue of employers’ attitudes to disabled workers and encouraging more businesses to post jobs to the site, generating a tenfold increase in traffic to jobability.com.
Catherine spent five years as a secondary school English teacher and literacy leader and has now returned to the communications industry. Throughout her career she has worked with senior leaders, from CEOs of FTSE 100 companies to headteachers; interviewing and developing strategies for both internal stakeholder programmes and external media profiling campaigns. For Barley, Catherine has led programmes for the World Heart Federation and Borough Market and has worked closely with James to develop the communications strategy and stakeholder engagement programme for Sport Wales.
