At Barley we work with the public, clinicians, staff and stakeholders to improve services, particularly in health and social care. We work with people to design engagement and consultation strategies that truly engage and involve the public. We run co-production events, workshops and focus groups to help generate the solutions to meet the challenges of our changing population. We prepare materials including brochures setting out the need for change as well as formal consultation documents that set out the pros and cons of proposed models of care. Our work captures people’s ideas and feedback so that ideas and proposals can be improved and refined to meet the needs of the population.
The content of our work varies. We work closely with voluntary sector, local authority and NHS colleagues on whole system redesign programmes helping to integrate services and improve health and wellbeing. At Barley our people also have experience in specific services including women’s and children, urgent care, care for frail older people, mental health services and specialised services.
