James Ford


James established Barley Communications in 2016 with Sam Williams after working in charities, the public sector and for large agencies. 

He has over twenty years’ experience in public policy, communications and public engagement. James has led several major government and NHS communication programmes, and works with clinicians and researchers on policy issues, awareness and change programmes. James advises client teams, Board members and other senior leaders on strategy, reputation, issue management and stakeholder relations.

James’s work includes UK and international programmes for charities, professional associations, public bodies and commercial enterprises.
