London’s world-famous Borough Market, is extending its offering with al fresco dining set to re-open from 12th April and produce trading hours to be extended into Sundays for the first time in recent history from the summer. More than 20 Market traders and restaurants will be setting up tables in designated, Covid-secure dining spaces in Borough Market Kitchen and Three Crown Square every evening of the week after the Market closes.
In line with the government’s easing of lockdown restrictions, customers will again be able to enjoy high quality food from a selection of restaurants, under the atmospheric archways of the Market. From 12th April, dining options will include 26 Grains, Applebees, Elliots, Bao, Arabica, Bedales, Rabot, Flor and Padella. And from Borough Market Kitchen; Juma, Brindisa, Horn Ok, Gourmet Goat, Mei Mei, La Tua Pasta, Padre and Oroshi.*

In addition to this, the Market will be extending its trading hours into Sundays in the summer, to provide the local community with access to high quality, sustainable produce, seven days per week. More than 30 producers will be open from 10am to 2pm, serving meats, fish, fruit & veg, bread & baked goods and store cupboard essentials.** Hot food and drink will not be served during these hours.

As a provider of essential food and drink, we have been fortunate enough to remain open throughout the pandemic and have had to adapt our offering to ensure that our customer’s safety is not compromised when coming to the Market. In January, the Market became the first outdoor venue to legally enforce the mandatory wearing of face masks. Controlled entry and exits points have been put in place to manage numbers and social distancing. Those not complying with these rules face a £50 fine.
