Martin Barrow

Martin is a former senior journalist and editor with The Times. He joined as a business journalist and later worked as Foreign News Editor and Home News Editor. During a career spanning 25 years he was also Health Editor and a senior member of teams that managed the newspaper’s early online development and the switch from broadsheet to compact format.  

For the past 10 years Martin has been advising organisations on media strategy and creating strategic content. He gained experience in corporate communications, advising some of the UK’s biggest companies and public sector organisations and charities, from Santander, Vodafone and Spire Healthcare to NHS England, the Commonwealth Secretariat and Business in the Community.  

Martin’s experience and interests include health and social care, employment, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. He speaks fluent Spanish and has advised a number of Spanish organisations.  

Martin and his wife Lorna are foster carers and campaign for a better care system for children and young people.
