Barley Communications has secured two shortlistings at the Association Excellence Awards 2026, recognising both our work as an agency and our partnership with the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS).
Barley is shortlisted for Association Agency or Supplier of the Year, recognising our work supporting membership organisations and associations with strategic communications, campaigns, content and creative services.
Our work with EACTS has also been shortlisted for Publication of the Year for EACTS News, the association’s quarterly membership publication.
Barley has worked with EACTS since 2022, supporting the organisation across strategic communications, brand, content and design. As part of this partnership, we helped EACTS rethink the role of its established publication to better reflect the organisation’s strategic priorities and provide greater value to its global membership.
The result is a more strategic and engaging publication, combining a clear editorial approach with accessible content and design to explore the issues shaping cardiothoracic surgery and showcase the people driving progress across the profession.
The recognition follows EACTS News also being shortlisted for Best Publication at the 2026 Memcom Awards.

The two Association Excellence Awards shortlistings reflect the breadth of our work with membership organisations, from providing strategic communications counsel to developing content that helps associations engage their communities and communicate their expertise.
The Association Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of trade bodies, professional membership organisations and associations. The winners will be announced at Hilton London Bankside on Friday 13 November 2026.
