Barley Communications’ work with the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) has been shortlisted at the 2026 Memcom Awards.

EACTS News has been shortlisted in the Best Publication category, recognising our work to transform the association’s quarterly magazine into a more strategic, engaging publication for its global membership.

Barley has worked with EACTS since 2022, supporting the organisation across strategic communications, brand, content and design. As part of this partnership, we helped EACTS rethink the role of its established membership publication so it could better reflect the organisation’s priorities and provide greater value to readers.

Our approach combined editorial strategy, content planning, writing and design to create a publication with a stronger focus on the issues shaping cardiothoracic surgery and the people driving progress across the profession.

The result is a more engaging and accessible publication that strengthens connections across the EACTS community, while giving the association an important platform to communicate its priorities and demonstrate thought leadership.

The Memcom Awards celebrate innovation, creativity and achievement across professional bodies, trade associations, membership charities and other membership organisations.

The winners will be announced at the Memcom Awards ceremony at the InterContinental London Park Lane on Thursday 24 September 2026.
